Ever wondered what it would be like to drive a race car at top speeds over San Francisco’s empty streets? Some stunning driving with mind boggling precision in this video, which hits all the San Francisco landmarks. Gotta wonder how much money it cost them to close the Bay Bridge…probably more than the cost of the helicopter and the car combined.
It was so gratifying to get a real thunderstorm last night. As someone who hails from the lightning capital of the world, I often tease that Northern California only pretends to rain. I scoffed at the people who took their umbrellas out last night, but received my comeuppance when I had to run through downpour, dodging lake-sized puddles on the way home.

Treasure Island Music Festival 2011 Playlist
A playlist of the bands that will be playing at this year’s Treasure Island Music Festival. I would say this fest is not to be missed, but it’s gotten pretty crowded in the last few years. So I say: terrible show! Stay home! Save more room for me.
Oh Bay Bridge, how you are over shadowed by your red-headed stepsister, that Western bridge who leads to wealthy farmers and wineries. You are every bit as beautiful as she is, and Oakland just as deserving a destination.
